American National Carbide Adds New Features to Cut Off Parting Inserts



Tomball, TX April 12, 2006...American National Carbide announces several new enhancements to its popular ANN series of cut off/parting inserts including a new PVD coated grade (AN2120) for steels and stainless steels. The inserts are offered in a large selection of cutting widths ( from 2mm to 9mm) and 3 degree, 8 degree and 15 degree face angles are available. The inserts are interchangeable with the Iscar Self Grip (trademark) GTN, GTR, and GTL styles. A new grade, AN2120, features a PVD coating on a tough, alloyed substrate and is designed for low to medium cutting speeds in unfavorable conditions. For high speed machining on all cast irons the preferred grade available is AN3010. There are four other grades available to suit virtually any application.
