Manchester Tool Unveils New MTC-PT Insert


Akron, Ohio . . . . . New from Manchester Tool Company, manufacturers of cutoff, grooving and threading tools for the machine tool market, is the MTC-PT insert, a deep grooving tool designed specifically for plunge and turn operations.

With a double V design for maximum stability, the MTC-PT insert has high positive rake geometry for low cutting force, especially in soft materials. MTC-PT cuts in both axial and radial directions and delivers excellent chip control over the full range of the depth of cut when turning. The new inserts are double ended for extended insert life, making them highly cost-effective.

MTC-PT inserts are available in three grades: M40 (-36), M45 (-33) and M93 (-34).

The MTC-PT insert is one component of the all-new, integrated MTC Toolholder and Insert System recently unveiled by Manchester Tool. The new system encompasses integral shank toolholders and specially designed inserts, all calculated to provide improved chip control and management.
