Innovasic Semiconductor® Announces the Availability of Samples for the Intel® CAN Controller Replacement
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, June 4, 2008 - Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in extended life semiconductor solutions, today announced the availability of samples of the IA82527. The samples are form, fit, and function replacements for the original Intel® 82527 Serial Communications Controller (CAN Controller).
The Innovasic replacement supports the same CAN 2.0 Specification (Part A and B), as the original device, including standard and extended message frames. In addition the replacement has the capability to transmit, receive, and perform message filtering on standard and extended message frames.
The IA82527 is available in 44-Pin PLCC and 44-Pin QFP RoHS compliant packages for the automotive temperature range (-40°C to 125°C).
Samples are available immediately and can be ordered by going to innovasic.com/samplerequest.htm, or contacting sales at sales@innovasic.com. Production units will begin shipping in Q4 of 2008.
