Consumer-ready SH51-03A Provides Manufacturers Quick Time-to-Market to Address Growing Need for 4K Solutions
ORLANDO, Fla. — Inneos, LLC, the industry leader in Video over Fiber transport, today demonstrated the new SH51-03A, capable of carrying Full-bandwidth HDMI™ 4K60 with 4:4:4 color. Unlike disparate chip-and-transceiver solutions, the SH51-03A transmits lossless video over a single fiber.Â
"What's unique about the SH51-03A is that it transports the full 18 gigabits of bandwidth required by HDMI™ 2.0 using three independent 6 Gbps lanes and a separate clock, all packaged in a fully integrated, bidirectional subsystem. There is a loss of information through compression and chroma subsampling used by other manufacturers. Sacrificing performance is not ok with us. Inneos offers the only single fiber solution on the market today that will transmit the full bandwidth of HDMI™ 2.0 on a single fiber," said Martin Smith, Inneos Director of Marketing.
