Solar Powered Injection System Provides Consistent, Uninterrupted Operation


A solar powered injection system for oil and gas wells located in remote inland locations that require the injection of corrosion inhibitors is being introduced by AMERICAN LEWA, Inc. of Holliston, Massachusetts.

The LEWA Model EKO Solar Powered Injection System is fully self-contained and features a high-efficiency, sealless diaphragm metering pump that can inject corrosion inhibitors at up to 72 gallons per day against 3,700 psi. Providing consistent, uninterrupted operation, the pump requires less than 160 Watts of DC power which is provided by a solar panel array, battery pack, and controls all supplied in a "ready-to-run" package.

Consisting of an all stainless steel pump skid with rain covers and sealed-tight enclosures, the LEWA Model EKO Solar Powered Injection System can be configured to user requirements including remote control and injection rate feedback. The leak-tight pump has two PTFE diaphragms that isolate the process fluid, providing double containment with zero-leakage, run-dry tolerance, and overload protection.
