REP Expands G9 Family of Injection Presses for Rubber Molders

REP Corporation announces the expansion of its G9 Series, the latest family of injection presses for rubber, TPE and LSR products. The showcase machine in this new generation is the V79, a 550-ton press with advanced design features in the mechanical, electronic and hydraulic construction aspects. Other standard presses are offered in the 55-900 clamp tonnage range.

No pit or operator platform is required on the V79, as the movable traverse is located at operator level. Mold thickness adjustment is automatic and the work height is constant, regardless of mold height. A longtime REP feature, this press has an extremely small footprint (126"W x 56"D), yet provides up to 31-1/2" x 31-1/2" heater platens. A new "L" design injection head also permits floor level feeding of raw material. A new closing principle results in better overall ergonomics and shorter dry cycle times.

All G9 presses are controlled by a 15" touch screen graphics panel and a PC front end. Data download and mold set-up speeds have been substantially improved, as well, via proprietary REP software and enhanced ergonomics. Configurable access levels may be utilized with password protection to further monitor and control production. Online diagnostics are also standard. A portable control module allows the operator greater movement around the press.

A full hydraulic clamp, as well as ejectors, sliding platen, top/bottom stripping kits and other devices may be easily integrated into the standard press design, as the application warrants. The press also features automatic speed and stroke adjustment for opening and closing, thus eliminating stroke adjustment on the frame and hydraulic ejectors.
