Annandale, NJ - March 7, 2006 - Ingersoll-Rand Company introduces the T480 Series pneumatic barring motors, making service work on 500 liter diesel engines and 1,000 liter gas engines easier and safer.
Ingersoll Rand T480 Series pneumatic barring motors are lightweight (from 59 to 75 pounds) and portable, which allows the motors to be moved from engine to engine, or mounted permanently. Running off compressed air, the T480 Series motors are well-suited for field applications, hazardous environments, and are excellent solutions for applications that include timing adjustments, valve adjustments, coupling alignments, as well as routine and unscheduled maintenance.
These highly reliable, precisely controlled motors enable operators to turn engines over slowly and stop them securely for greater piece of mind and productivity. Additional features include 90 psig air operation, which produces more than 800 ft-lb of torque; a reversible vane air motor for precise control; integral disc brakes which are always engaged when the motor is not in operation; a rugged design for maximum durability and dependability; and pendant control to enable remote engine movement and one-person operation.
