INGEAR Connects PLCs to Devices Running Windows 10 IoT Core

CimQuest INGEAR, a leading publisher of runtime-free software development solutions for industrial applications, has introduced NET.LOGIX UWP (Universal Windows Programming). NET.LOGIX UWP is the first in a series of Windows 10 IoT Core PLC drivers from INGEAR

Windows 10 IoT Core is the operating system built for the Internet of Things (IoT). It is a version of Windows 10 that is optimized for smaller devices with or without a display that use ARM and x86/x64 processors, such as Raspberry PI, MinnowBoard, DragonBoard, and other single board computers. Windows IoT Core connects, manages and secures your IoT devices, and more.

NET.LOGIX.UWP allows you to easily connect devices running Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Core to Rockwell Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). It allows you to develop your own IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) applications, including ultra-low cost operator interfaces and headless intelligent devices that can be read & written by Allen-Bradley PLCs, OPC Servers and other drivers.

NET.LOGIX.UWP has the same communication capabilities and features as NET.LOGIX for Windows PCs. This means porting existing INGEAR code from Window PC to Windows 10 IoT is a snap.
A Developers license is $999. Like INGEAR’s other software the license includes unlimited runtime use and 12 months of product support and upgrades. You can design, create and deploy Windows 10 Core IoT programs runtime free.
