InfinityQS and Branson Ultrasonics Form Partnership

Chantilly, Va. - November 5, 2007 - InfinityQS International, the leading provider of Statistical Process Control (SPC) software today announced the release of the Branson X-Port Ultrasonic Welder Data Collection Utility, a new real-time quality monitor and data logger for the ultrasonic plastic welding process. InfinityQS has partnered with Branson Ultrasonics Corporation to develop and deliver this solution for increased visibility into welding performance.

The recently released Branson X-Port utility is a Windows application that allows users to log and track weld data. The SPC analytics allow operators to correct issues in real-time and better understand how various processes are performing. X-Port is being released in two versions to allow users to view, monitor and log quality data from multiple welder models. One version will connect via serial port; the other will connect via Ethernet.

With this utility, users can view and monitor all Branson ultrasonic welders in a single facility or in a global network from one location, such as a corporate office. From there, users can analyze real-time data showing performance levels for each individual welder.

With enhanced visibility into the welding processes, manufacturers can reduce scrap and rework and better plan maintenance schedules to maximize weld usage. X-Port is designed to easily integrate into InfinityQS' SPC products, which provide a comprehensive range of assessment tools for each process in the manufacturing environment.

"We were looking for a way to help our customers truly quantify the welding process by providing increased visibility and analysis," said Jeff Frantz, director of Branson's ultrasonic business development. "X-Port lets users see exactly how the welders are performing on specific application parameters so that they can make real-time decisions to increase throughput. Applying X-Port to the shop floor creates the conditions for breakthroughs in efficiency and performance."

"Partnering with an industry leader like Branson helps us achieve our mission of providing manufacturers the tools they need to fully understand and improve their processes," said Michael A. Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. "This partnership is also part of our aggressive growth strategy to reach additional markets and identify opportunities for SPC to improve quality."
