Industrias Monterrey S.A. de C.V. (IMSA), a Subsidiary of Grupo IMSA Located in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico, Has Commissioned the Construction of One High Production Loop Type Multi-Blanking Line to Herr-Voss Stamco


December 12, 2006 -Industrias Monterrey S.A. de C.V. has recently purchased a Multi-Blanking Line from Herr-Voss Stamco for expansion of the capacity at their Monterrey service centers. This new line will incorporate the latest technology and proven design durability, providing high production rates and superior cut-to-length accuracy. This is the third complete slitting or cut-to-length line sold or shipped to Industrias Monterrey by Herr-Voss Stamco this year.

The new line is capable of processing .075" thick, 60" wide coils weighing up to 55,000 lbs. at production speeds up to 250 FPM. The .009" minimum to .075" maximum thickness ranges between 30 KPsi and 80 KPsi yield strength. The line is designed with two (2) interchangeable precision slitter heads for the cold rolled steel, pre-painted, HSLA and zinc coated steel that will be processed on this multi-blanking line.

Other features of the line include a four-coil storage system with a coil car and automatic edge guide centering system. This line will be installed and commissioned mid 2007.
