Industrial Shredder breaks down pharmaceutical waste.

Press Release Summary:

Model DS-22 features dual cutting mechanisms to reduce up to 1,800 lb of waste/hr down to particles as small as 3/32 in. Variable-speed conveyor delivers bulk material to shredder, which starts destruction process by preshredding material. Preshredded material is reduced to desired particle size by rotary knife mill. Once end particle is small enough, it passes through exit screen and is evacuated to twin-bag collection system or dumpster.

Industrial Shredder Designed For Pharmaceutical Waste Destruction

WESTBORO, MA - The Model DS-22 disintegrator from Security Engineered Machinery features dual cutting mechanisms to reduce up to 1800 lbs. of waste per hour down to particles as small as 3/32". The system is ideal for the destruction of returned, expired or off-spec pharmaceutical products.

The first stage of the system is a high-torque, low-RPM shredder, which starts the destruction process by preshredding bulk material. The preshred material then enters the second stage of the process, where a high-speed rotary knife mill continues to reduce the waste to the desired particle size. The user determines the size of the end particle by choosing one of several exit screens. Once the end particle is small enough, it passes through the screen and is then evacuated to a twin-bag collection system or dumpster for easy disposal.

All DS-22 systems include as standard a variable-speed conveyor for delivery of bulk material to the shredder and an MX noise-reducing enclosure for quieter operation.
