Original Press Release:
No Space? Fit Your PC in 1 or 2U of Rack Height!
Nobody ever has quite enough rack space, so CyberResearch
offers complete industrial-grade PCs that fit in one or two units
(1.75 or 3.5 inches) of vertical space in a standard 19-inch rack. 1U models offer one or two expansion slots and three drive bays, 2U models provide three or six slots and four to eight bays.
Six models in the CyberResearch® LA/LB series of industrial rack-mount PCs can each be ordered with a variety of CPU cards or motherboards ranging from a cost-effective 700-MHz Celeron(R) card to a powerful 1-GHz Pentium III(R). 1U models come with two or three 7-CFM fans. 2U models are equipped with two or three 42-CFM fans.
Many industrial applications require the safety of redundant power supplies, so one of the 2U models is furnished with two 250-watt hot-swap power supplies. Either supply can power the PC by itself; if one fails you can remove it and put in a new one while the PC is up and collecting data or running your equipment.
All six models provide a locking front door to control access to power switches, one 5.25" drive bay, and one 1.44MB floppy drive. The floppy drive is included at no extra charge.
In addition to rack-mount PCs - now shipping from stock - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers panel-mount, desktop, and portable PCs, as well as data-acquisition and motion-control systems. For more information on any of our products, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit www.cyberresearch.com.
