Hands Stay Drier in Gloves with Ansell's Aquadri

Ansell, a world leader in hand protection, introduces another technology breakthrough for industrial gloves: Aquadri, Ansell Moisture Management Technology. Adaptable to all disposable or unsupported gloves, Aquadri is an ultra-thin 0.025 mm polymer composite coating that absorbs up to four times more moisture than standard cotton-flock gloves.

Sweaty hands and unpleasant odours are often-heard complaints associated with glove wearing at work. Aquadri Technology enables workers to keep their hands drier for longer periods, increasing their level of comfort when wearing gloves, as well as their likelihood to comply to internal safety rules. Internal tests have shown that with an Aquadri coating, the perspiration saturation point is reached 60% more slowly than with traditional cotton flock lined gloves. Gloves equipped with the technology show a lower tendency to shed, and can be washed and dried up to three times without any loss of their moisture absorbing qualities. The Aquadri coating is also exceptionally soft and comfortable to the touch.

The first Ansell glove to offer this patent-pending new moisture control system is the Virtex lightweight industrial glove. It is designed to be both comfortable to wear for extended periods and to provide an efficient protective barrier against hydrocarbon-based chemicals, oils and greases. Composed of a thinner and softer nitrile, the Virtex 79-700 is comfortable and flexible and is designed with a specific lozenge pattern to improve grip. A particularly polyvalent glove, the Virtex is intended for handling and light assembly applications in the chemical, metal fabrication and automotive industries. In comparison, Ansell's new AlphaTec glove is intended for more heavyweight operations and addresses higher chemical risks. The Virtex is intended for lighter applications than those addressed by the company's popular Sol-Vex® range. With the launch of Virtex, Ansell effectively completes its offer in the range of chemical-resistant gloves providing optimal manipulation in wet or oily environments.
