Original Press Release:

Lincoln Electric Partners with Genie Industries to Create ArcPro(TM) 275 Industrial Boom Welding System

o ArcPro 275 provides 12,500 continuous watts of AC power for tools. This is 5,000 more watts than the competitive unit.

o The boom unit offers more welding amperage - 275 amps at a 35% duty cycle as compared to the competitor's 250 amps at a 50% duty cycle.

o Innovative system allows operator to perform extended industrial-duty welding from the platform.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Two well-known names in each of their respective industries have teamed up to offer a high-quality industrial boom welding system which exceeds the specifications of any system currently on the market. The new ArcPro 275 is a jointly designed boom welding system by The Lincoln Electric Company and Genie Industries. Available on the Genie S-80/85, S-60/65 and S-40/45 telescopic booms, the ArcPro 275 provides the operator the ability to perform extended welding from the platform.

Powered by a hydraulically-driven 208 VAC three-phase generator and closed-loop hydraulic drive pump, the ArcPro 275 produces 12,500 continuous and 13,500 peak watts of AC power - this is 5,000 more watts than the 7,500 watt competitive model currently available. This means more power available overhead to run power tools and lighting equipment.

The ArcPro 275 comes standard with Lincoln's Invertec® V275-S welding unit which is capable of both stick and TIG welding. It provides 275 amps at a 35% duty cycle, while the competitive boom welding system offers 250 amps at a 50% duty cycle. The Invertec unit can be used on a wide variety of applications, including structural steel and pipe. And, for added workspace, the welder package is located outside the basket, behind the platform decal plate.

Other Lincoln Electric equipment available for the ArcPro 275 includes the Pro-Cut® 25 and Pro-Cut 55 plasma cutters; SP-175 wire feed welder for sheet metal MIG welding jobs on material up to 5/16-inch thick; and the Invertec V350-PRO and LN-25 wire feeder combination for structural welding or high production requirements.

The Lincoln Electric Company, Cleveland, Ohio, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of arc welding equipment and consumables, robotic welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment.

Headquartered in Redmond, Wash., with branch offices worldwide, Genie Industries manufactures material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer-mounted booms and light towers, scissor lifts and self-propelled telescopic and articulating booms.
