CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. - Broadax Systems, Inc., a leading industrial rackmount computer manufacturer introduces two new 4U Rackmount Systems, The RMS401 and RMS402.
Both the RMS401 and RMS402 are constructed of 1.2mm Heavy-Duty Steel and come in the standard color black. Both units support two USB port in the front panel making access to them convenient and the LED indicators for Power Status and HDD activity always keep you informed at a glance. The Power On and Reset Switches are also located in the front of the unit making powering or shutting down for maintenance very easy. Both of these Rackmount units can be mounted in a rack or used as stand-alone.
To cool the internal components and allow many years of reliable use, the RMS401 and RMS402 both have a front 120mm Cooling fan with a removable air filter. An option is to also add two 80mm cooling fans to the rear of the units. There are seven slots to accommodate any number of cards you would need for your project. The System Board size that is accommodated is 12" x 9.6" (ATX Form Factor Motherboard). Both units use a PS/2 ATX PFC 110/220 VAC Power Supply and have the option to upgrade to a Mini Redundant Power Supply.
The main differences of the two units are in their weight, dimensions and drive bay capacities. The RMS401 is 20.9 lbs just the chassis itself with dimensions of 16.9" x 6.9" x 17.5" (W x H x D). The Drive bay capacity is three 5.25" and one 3.5" externally accessible drive bays. Internally there are two 3.5" drive bays. There is also one 5.25" slim optical drive bay available. The RMS402 weighs 29.48 lbs and its dimensions are 16.9" x 6.9" x 20.5" (W x H x D). As for the Drive Bay capacity, there are three 5.25" and two 3.5" externally accessible drive bays and two 3.5" internal drive bays.
