World's Smallest All-Metal Inductive Proximity Sensor

Small size, rugged design ideal for harsh, space-restricted applications

TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the 8mm series to their Pile Driver family of inductive sensors. Just 8mm in diameter, these sensors are fully flush mountable, and are the most compact, all-metal inductive sensors available in the industry today.

These rugged sensors are tested to provide a life span 20 times that of conventional plastic-faced sensors. They come standard with a 100% stainless steel housing, and are available with Black Armor weld-spatter resistant coating and a number of cable options for long life in harsh environments. They provide repeatability better than 0.01mm and hysteresis of 5%, and can effectively operate in temperatures ranging from -14° to 158°C. This combination of features makes the 8mm Pile Driver an ideal sensing solution in harsh, space-restricted applications with hazards such as lubricants, cutting fluids, metal shards and target impacts.

Pepperl+Fuchs is a world leader in the design, manufacture and application of high quality factory and process automation products and services. Pepperl+Fuchs pioneered the development of proximity sensors 45 years ago, and has set the standard for innovation and quality ever since.
