Inductive Proximity Sensors offer sensing range of 6-40 mm.

Press Release Summary:

Extended Range X Series is IP67-rated with nickel-plated brass housing and Crastin sensing face for operation in harsh environments. Featuring 3-wire PNP output and micro-quick disconnects, cylindrical units are non-flush mountable. Sensors are suited for applications where target slop places sensor in danger of impact damage, target movement necessitates wide sensing band, or to gain additional sensing distance to nonferrous or small targets.

Cylindrical Proximity Sensors Now Available with Sensing Ranges to 40mm!

TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces a 40mm sensing option to its family of Extended Range X Series inductive proximity sensors. Now available with sensing ranges of 6mm (8mm diameter housing), 10mm (12mm diameter), 20mm (18mm diameter) and 40mm (40mm diameter), these sensors offer 100% to 260% more range than standard inductive proximity sensors. This is particularly helpful in applications where target "slop" places the sensor in danger of impact damage, target movement necessitates a wider sensing "band" to eliminate unstable output, or to gain additional sensing distance to nonferrous or smaller-than-normal targets.

The newest X Series is IP67 rated with a nickel-plated brass housing and Crastin sensing face for long life and reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. They feature 3-wire PNP output and micro-quick disconnects, and are non-flush mountable. Additionally, they are UL listed, CSA and FM approved, and carry the CE mark.
