Brady Replaces Current Indoor/Outdoor Vinyl with New Low-Shrink Vinyl

Brady Worldwide, Inc. launches new B-595 vinyl with improved adhesive and performance

Milwaukee, WI - Brady Worldwide, Inc. announced today that its existing indoor/outdoor vinyl label maker tape will be replaced with a new low-shrink vinyl. Beginning March 1, 2010, all of the B-588 vinyl materials for the Brady GlobalMark®2 and MiniMark(TM) Label Printers will be automatically replaced with a more advanced, superior vinyl - the new B-595 indoor/outdoor vinyl. This change will take place at no additional cost to Brady customers or distributors.

B-595 Vinyl offers aggressive adhesive that sticks to harsh, uneven surfaces

Brady's new B-595 vinyl label maker tape has the most aggressive adhesive ever offered with the GlobalMark®2 and MiniMark(TM) Label Printers. It is ideal for indoor and outdoor facility labels, including 5S labels, safety labels, warning labels, pipe markers, arc flash labels, equipment labels and visual workplace labels. The adhesive is proven to stick to irregular, highly-textured and curved surfaces, and stand up to grease, oil and most industrial chemicals.

Because of this advanced adhesive, the B-595 label maker tape is also proven to adhere to "problem applications" that had been habitually difficult for vinyl materials, including low surface energy applications like PVC piping, blow-molded equipment cases, ABS plastics, powder-coated surfaces and equipment made from recycled plastics.

New low-shrink construction reduces build-up after application

The B-595 indoor/outdoor labels feature an innovative low-shrink vinyl construction that diminishes the unsightly build-up of dust and grime that appears around the edges of typical vinyl labels within a year after the label is applied. The low-shrink construction minimizes shrinkage of the label maker tape, and also reduces the adhesive build-up in label printer mechanisms.

The new vinyl also has a lower application temperature than the existing vinyl label material; it can be applied at 0°F or above instead of 40°F or above (the service temperature remains at -40°F to 185°F.) It has a 5-year outdoor durability average in temperatures from -40°F to 180°F.
