Form and Fit Surface Mounting Indicators Provide Flexibility
APEM's TV series indicators are designed to complement their popular surface mounting tiny series toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches. They share the same case size and pin-out pattern, thereby adding flexibility to printed circuit boards with redundant pad layouts using these products. They are also ideal for new SMT printed circuit board indicator requirements.
In many applications, switches from the above types are used on a printed circuit board and the same board is used for other applications. Some may require an indicator as opposed to another switch. In these cases, the TV indicator solves the problem quickly and easily because it is interchangeable with the switch. No additional cost is incurred as re-working or redesigning of the printed circuit boards would necessitate.
The body size for the indicator is .318"w x .400"l x .218"h and it features a .181" diameter x .200" long bushing that properly positions the indicator, when it is used in conjunction with any of the above switch types, when they are edge mounted on a printed circuit board. The LED dome projects from the end of the bushing to provide a full 90° viewing angle.
TV models are availabe in red, green and yellow colors. Typical forward voltage is 2 volts, and reverse voltage 5 volts minimum.
