Increased Performance for Sinamics S120 Motion Control Drive System from Siemens

The hardware of the Control Unit of the Sinamics S120 drive system from the Siemens Drive Technologies Division has been optimized and provided with a more powerful chipset. Thanks to the increased performance compared to the previous CU320, more drive axes can now be controlled using the new CU320-2 Control Unit. Furthermore, a CU320-2 version with onboard Profinet interface is now also available. In addition to startup over Profibus, a Sinamics S120 can now also be commissioned via an Ethernet interface. The quantity framework of available digital inputs has also been extended. All in all, a wide range of multi-axis applications can now be implemented more simply and efficiently with the new Control Unit.
