InComm and AARP Debut Next Generation Membership Card


LAS VEGAS - InComm, a leading provider of integrated point-of-sale (POS) technology solutions to retailers announced today that AARP has issued new membership cards for AARP members, powered by InComm's proprietary Enhanced Payment Platform. AARP member cards will now allow AARP members to receive member discounts with a swipe of their cards at certain retailers offering AARP member discounts.

The 37 million Americans who belong to AARP have transitioned to a membership card that has a "swipe-and-save" functionality across a variety of merchants and retailers. The point-of-sale discounts are powered by InComm Healthcare and Affinity's Enhanced Payment Platform, which combines open- and closed-loop transaction networks with a UPC (universal product code) level rules-based engine. The rules-based engagement platform provides a single point of integration for third-party restricted-spend programs. For retailers, the platform can support multiple sponsors, payment types and payers for each program, significantly expanding the scope of the member benefit.
