New Series of Checkweighers Offer Accurate, Ultra-Fast Weight Verification In-Line

Fairmont, MN-January 15,2004-Avery Weigh-Tronix, Inc. introduces CHECKPOINT-a family of five new dynamic in-line checkweighers that offer new levels of speed, accuracy and value. Checkpoint features electromagnetic force restoration (EMFR) technology, offering uncompromising precision to weigh, sort or classify at throughput of up to 230 weighings-per-minute.

"Checkpoint checkweighers are very accurate, ultra-fast and value priced", said Tim Peterson, Product Manager. "Checkpoint is an uncomplicated solution to add fast and easy, dynamic weight checking of the Net content in packages to a high speed line without slowing production." Checkpoint models offer a
choice of rejection mechanisms that can be enabled to automatically remove packages from the production flow that do not fall within a designated weight range, ensuring that all packaged items meet minimum weight or average weight regulations with supporting documentation.

Each Checkpoint model features durable stainless steel construction, wear-free IP65-rated brushless motors, and an easy-to-use integrated backlit LCD touch screen display/control system. Models come standard with three transport conveyors (infeed, weighing and outfeed) and a choice of sub-frame
mounted air blast or pusher sorting mechanisms.

The touch screen controls offer menu guided operation with five weight classifications for under, accept and over classification, up to 80 product parameter settings, as many as 20 automation channels, and four password-protected user levels to secure the operation of the unit. Advanced software provides not only nominal weights and current status, but a host of statistical information and average values. System options include a built-in printer and a removable PC datacard for recording of production data.

Models are available to handle virtually any application, with different conveyor widths, adjustable motor speeds, throughput up to 230 weighings-per-minute, and weight capacities up to 60 kg. Contact your Avery Weigh-Tronix distributor at 800-368-2039 for free application assistance.
