In-Line Charge Converters Eliminate Need For Costly Laboratory Charge Amplifiers In Many Applications



Columbia Research Laboratories, Inc. In-Line Charge Converters are designed to convert the charge signal from a high impedance piezoelectric sensor into a voltage signal with a low impedance output, eliminating the need for costly charge amplifiers in many applications. Both the Series 5810 and Series 5812 feature two-wire configurations and a choice of three gain ranges. The fixed factory settings are 0.1, 1.0, and 10.0 mV/pC. The Series 5812 contains three active signal channels with three individual 4mA current sources powered from a common external standard DC power supply. This makes it the perfect signal conditioning match for any triaxial piezoelectric sensor. Series 5810 In-line Charge Converters offer a wide frequency response in a rugged small package. They are ideal for applications where a low impedance sensor cannot withstand high temperature environments due to limitations of its internal electronics.
