Chemineer's Smoothline Impeller Design Prevents Entrapment of Process Media
Dayton, Ohio, USA - Chemineer, Inc. offers its Smoothline design for the upper impellers of dual impeller turbine agitators. This patent-pending design disassembles to pass through manways on process vessels. Once inside, it reassembles easily with a non-metallic strap wrench.
The Smoothline design is ideal for applications in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries where cleanliness and/or sterilization between batches is required. It features FDA-approved Teflon gaskets between every joint to eliminate cracks and crevices that could trap process material. Polished surface finishes are available to roughness values as fine as 4-7 microinches RA. Chemineer's HE-3, P-4, S-4 and Maxflo W impellers are available in Smoothline configurations.
The addition of this Smoothline style upper impeller eliminates the need for threaded shaft sections that are difficult to keep straight. They are easily compatible with single piece shafts thus ensuring optimum straightness, efficient energy transmission and superior mixing performance.
