September 2007 - DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, launches its heavy-duty ¼" 18V impact driver (DC827KL) with NANO(TM) Technology. NANO(TM) Technology is a proprietary technology from DEWALT that combines battery durability and longer cycle life, lighter weight, greater performance, and an expanded system of tool offerings. The DC827KL provides users with a powerful tool in a compact, lightweight package, helping professional contractors increase productivity on the jobsite.
The ¼" 18V impact driver with NANO(TM) Technology features an exclusive battery that is designed with unique Nano Phosphate Lithium Ion cells that provide users with increased battery durability and cycle life, offering 2,000 recharges.* Additionally, the 18V NANO(TM) Technology battery works with over 40 tools in the DEWALT 18V platform.
The DC827KL impact driver is built with a high-speed frameless motor with replaceable brushes, which provides increased levels of performance, durability and serviceability. DEWALT's new impact driver with NANO(TM) Technology is optimized for fast completion of small to medium fastening applications and its light weight makes it ideal for prolonged or overhead use.
The DC827KL offers 5-3/4" short length which allows professional contractors to complete applications in tight work areas. DEWALT equipped the DC827KL with an ergonomic handle design for increased comfort and a variable speed reversing switch that provides added control for setting and removing fasteners. A bright LED work light provides increased visibility in dark spaces. Additionally, the DC827KL is equipped with an OEM accessory recess, providing users with the versatility to attach popular after-market components.
Available in October 2007, the DC827KL has the ability to complete a variety of applications, such as steal framing, HVAC, decking, metal fabrication and commercial installation. The DC827KL is ideal for carpenters, mechanical contractors, plumbers, HVAC, deck builders and general contactors.
The DC827KL also includes a heavy-duty 7.2V - 18V NiCd/NiMH/Li-Ion one-hour charger (DC9180). The battery charger is compatible with all DEWALT 7.2 - 18V NiCd, NiMH and Lithium Ion batteries, which means users only need one charger for multiple cordless products. Additionally, the charger is equipped with a three-stage charging system that provides maximum run-time and extends overall life of the battery.
