Marketlink to provide Imation RDX solution targeting DAT and other low-end tape replacement
OAKDALE, Minn., Sept. 17 / / -- Imation Corp. (NYSE:IMN), a worldwide leader in removable data storage media, announced that it will work with Marketlink Services to sell the Imation RDX(R) removable hard disk drive solution. Marketlink, a sales and marketing agency for manufacturers of computer-related products, will provide a committed sales team with market and product expertise to develop relationships with resellers and end users across the country.

The RDX solution provides small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with an enterprise-class data protection solution. Imation RDX docking stations are available in external USB and internal SATA designs, and cartridges contain a 2.5-inch hard disk drive and offer protection against both shock and electrostatic discharge (ESD). In addition, Imation's rugged RDX cartridges -- available in 40, 80, 120 and 160GB capacities -- are built to withstand a fall from one meter and remain intact and fully functional.

Imation's RDX removable hard disk storage system is currently available for a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from $299 - $499 based on capacity of either USB or SATA configurations.
