New Matrox 4Sight XB Features High-Powered Flexibility in a Small Package



May 4, 2009, Montreal, QC - Matrox Imaging is pleased to announce Matrox 4Sight XB, an industrial and medical imaging platform and newest member of the Matrox 4Sight family of embedded systems.

The Matrox 4Sight XB offers power and flexibility in a small footprint. Matrox 4Sight XB is powered by an Intel® Core2 Duo processor. Support for full-height, half length PCIe boards gives developers a wide choice of standard Matrox Imaging frame grabbers as well as third-party standard add-in cards for I/O and more.

With integrated support for the leading image acquisition technologies such as GigE Vision(TM) and IEEE-1394b IIDC, the Matrox 4Sight XB helps reduce overall system costs by eliminating the need for add-in acquisition boards.

Matrox 4Sight XB runs on Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems which allows the straightforward use of device drivers for third-party add-in cards. Applications are programmed with the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL). Matrox 4Sight XB is manufactured in-house with Intel® embedded lifecycle components and with stringent change control.
