MotionPro(TM) High-Speed CMOS Color Digital Imaging Systems Now Shipping

San Diego, California, April 29, 2002 - Redlake announces the shipment of color MotionPro(TM) high-speed digital imaging systems. Last December 2001 the first monochrome MotionPro was shipped to customers. The new systems were very well received on a worldwide basis. The MotionPro's easy-to-use, integrated software and optional add-on modules have received particularly favorable comments.

"MotionPro is a complete system for capturing high-speed events and delivering outstanding digital images directly into a PC for 'slow motion' analysis and documentation," said Tim Callenbach, Manager, Product Marketing. "It literally leap-frogs competitive products and sets a new standard in price-performance."

The MotionPro system accelerates finding and analyzing problems and implementing solutions by quickly transferring images directly to the computer's hard drive. It consists of:
- Advanced high-speed, mega-pixel resolution CMOS PCI camera
- PCI camera control and memory board with up to 9.8 seconds of record time at 500 full frames per second
- Intuitive, easy-to-use, Windows-based control software
- Motion analysis software provides angular, linear, velocity and rotational measurements
- Synchronization of video images and up to 64 channels of external sensor data

With three different MotionPro models available - offering recording speeds up to 500, 2,000 and 10,000 frames per second - users can choose the exact system for current applications, and easily upgrade later as needs change. The state-of-the art CMOS sensor provides full frame resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels at 500 frames per second in either color or monochrome. Up to four MotionPro systems can be operated from a single PC for multiple synchronous views of a high-speed event.

Video capture with MotionPro is initiated via software, with a wide variety of external optical, acoustic, electrical and motion-controlled triggering devices, or with hand-held switches. The system is compatible with a wide range of standard C-mount and F-mount lenses.

Flexible recording options permit using the PCI-board memory as a circular buffer into which specified pre- and post-trigger frames are recorded, or dividing the memory into a segmented buffer for multiple session operation. Applications requiring long record times are easily accommodated with memory expansion options up to 6 GB for 4,913 full frames of storage.

Comprehensive integrated solutions - including MotionPro, computer, software and instrumentation accessories - are available directly from Redlake.
