SYRACUSE, NY, January 13, 2005 - Pass & Seymour/Legrand, a leading manufacturer of electrical and network wiring devices and accessories, today introduced a new Illuminated GFCI that makes spotting use of back-up power easy.
With Pass & Seymour's Illuminated GFCIs, the indicator light is on when power is available. The indicator light turns off when the wiring device has tripped or the power has failed.
With enhanced resistance to surge, corrosion and electrical power line noise, the new Illuminated GFCIs offer superior durability and are exceptionally easy to install with side or screw-pressure-plate backwiring for line and load terminals. Additionally, two backwire holes per termination add wiring flexibility and more room in the box.
The Illuminated GFCI wiring devices are available in a variety of colors, including Light Almond, the best match for today's most popular interior colors.
Other GFCIs in the P&S family include the Decorator Combination Switch/GFCI, Two Switch/GFCI, Nightlight/GFCI, and Tamper-Resistant GFCI. All P&S GFCIs are designed for quick and easy installation, a feature that reduces the number of costly callbacks for contractors.
