igus to Exhibit at Pack Expo, Las Vegas
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I.- July 2, 2009 - igus® will be displaying its range of motion control components at Pack Expo, Las Vegas, from October 5-7, 2009 (South Hall, Booth #4985).
New products on show will include the company's geared slewing-ring bearing, which does not require any lubrication and so saves the end user valuable maintenance time. A toothed belt can be mounted on either the inner or outer ring of the bearing, depending on the type of drive configuration required. The geared module is ready to install, which enables design engineers to cut costs and decrease supply base and lead times.
Another product on show will be igus' new Xiros ball bearings, which are technically optimized, available from stock, and have a predictable service life. Xiros is designed to fill the gap where conventional ball-bearing performance can be limited by parameters such as temperature, chemical or moisture exposure.
The company's DryLin® slide tables are another good fit for the packaging industry. Available pre-assembled and off-the-shelf, they save time and money spent in-house on custom assemblies. They are a bolt-on solution requiring zero maintenance and are extremely low cost when compared to ball-bearing and custom slide-table systems.
iglide® J plastic plain bearings are ideal for both fast and slow moving applications on packaging machinery. They can handle speeds up to 1,969 feet per minute (fpm) in linear motion and 197 fpm in rotary motion and endure temperatures from -58 to +194 degrees Fahrenheit.
Other products at the show will include additional examples from the company's bearings product ranges, as well as cable carriers and continuous-flex cables. All igus products offer longer life at lower cost.
