Chatsworth, CA - Dytran Instruments, Inc. (www.dytran.com) a leading manufacturer of piezoelectric and DC MEMS accelerometers, force and pressure transducers and associated electronics, has introduced the model 3306A1, a piezoelectric accelerometer designed specifically to measure vibration at extreme temperatures in aerospace, automotive, industrial and military applications.

Ideal for cryogenic conditions, the Dytran model 3306A1 incorporates a self generating, quartz shear sensing element with integrated IEPE electronics. Its unique sensing element offers an unusually flat temperature response down to -420°F (-251°C). Even at extreme temperatures, the model 3306A1 displays an exceptionally stable and continuous signal output. The model 3306A1 incorporates a two-pole low-pass filter, which aids in eliminating spurious high frequency data, and a rugged stainless steel construction.

Offered with a sensitivity of 5 mV/g, the 3306A1 utilizes a 1/4-28 mounting stud and axial military style 3-pin bayonet connector. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and case isolated via use of an internal Faraday shield for noise immunity.
