Bryant Grinder Introduces Small I.D. Grinder at IMTS 2004

Booth B-6836

(Chicago, IL - September 8 - 15, 2004) The Bryant Model B+ grinder is designed to replace the Bryant Model B, of which there are hundreds of installations in the US. This machine is being introduced at IMTS 2004, booth B-6836. This machine is ideal for bore grinding miniature ball bearing inner and outer rings, bore grinding lifter rollers, and many other small bore part requirements, down to 0.40" diameter. Its X and Z travel range is 3" x 3". Accuracy is 0.0002" (5 micron) with 0.000004" (0.1 micron) resolution.

Hydrostatic slides are incorporated for improved stiffness, minimal friction, and low maintenance. The Model B+ will accept Model B tooling, including wheelheads and work fixtures. Workhead options include disk-drive centerless (two variations), shoe centerless with electromagnetic chuck or air clamp, or chucker. Advanced linear motors are used to reduce the initial investment and future maintenance costs.

This machine features quick change between radius dresser and the straight dresser for changing quickly between grinding inner and outer bearing rings. Dressing options include CNC radius, single-point diamond, or a high frequency dresser spindle with rotary diamond dresser.

The Bryant Model B+ has the proven GE Fanuc 18i TB CNC system as standard, and the system also provides for remote diagnostics for improved service response time.
