ICT Cambridge Wins Frost & Sullivan Award for Data Retrieval System

Company's Product Recognised as a Solution for Lawful Police Access to Telephone Records

Cambridge, UK - Jan 31, 2007: ICT Cambridge Ltd, a company specialised in secure data retrieval systems, has won the 2006 Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation in Europe for their telecom data retrieval system, Shield II.

Shield II has been recognised for meeting the requirements of the E.U. Directive on Data Retention, and its stakeholders, by providing rapid and secure access for law enforcement, centralised audit facilities for oversight authorities and improved data mining capabilities for telecom companies. Easily configured to operate within any country's regulatory framework, Shield II eliminates potential disclosures of excessive data and accidental infringements of the law by the service provider.

"Rather than simply focus on data retention, we took a holistic approach and have tackled the requirements of all parties involved in such investigations: the police, telecoms and government. We are thrilled that Shield II has been acknowledged for doing just that," says Robert Czapiewski, CEO of ICT Cambridge. "It couldn't come at a better time for us, as we are looking for investors or partners to help us market Shield II worldwide," he added.

Following the terrorist attacks in Madrid and London, the European Union passed the Directive on Data Retention requiring all telecom service providers and ISPs in every E.U. member state to retain traffic data for up to two years. The data must be made available to authorities 'without undue delay' and without violating an individual's rights to privacy. Any illegal access to this data will be a criminal offence. To comply with the Directive, every E.U. member must enact the necessary national legislation by September 2007, which will have a huge impact on all service providers in the E.U.

ICT Cambridge joins a distinguished list of previous Frost & Sullivan award winners, including BT plc, IBM, Siemens and VeriSign.
