The new EL3602 EtherCAT® Terminal enables "Scientific Automation" for high accuracy measuring applications

MINNEAPOLIS, July 29, 2008 - To provide ultra high precision measurement devices in the smallest housings possible, Beckhoff Automation has released the new EL3602 EtherCAT® I/O terminal. With the EL3602, Beckhoff offers a new generation of high precision analog measuring equipment designed for use with EtherCAT, the high performance Industrial Ethernet protocol.

The EL3602 samples measurement readings with a 24 bit resolution and accuracy within ±0.01 percent. It is an ideal instrument for meeting high-precision measurement requirements. Seamless integration of this measurement technology into Beckhoff Automation systems makes separate, specialized measuring components unnecessary.

Beyond Automation: Scientific Automation
