Samtec Expands Product Line to Include I/O Interfaces
Samtec has announced the addition of the broad line of I/O Interfaces to its high speed, micro pitch, cable, flex circuit, and application specific board-level interconnect product offering. The new I/O Line includes D sub-miniature, modular jacks, high frequency serial interfaces, and miniature DINS providing customers with "one-stop shopping" for a significant portion of their interconnect needs.
D-subs (DSM Series) are available in three different tail setbacks in through-hole and SMT configurations, right angle and vertical orientations, and with a wide variety of mounting options and hardware including ground straps, threaded inserts, jack screws, and board locks. Average price is .75¢ - $1.00.
Modular Jacks are available in through-hole and SMT configurations and single port (MODS Series) and multi-port (MODM Series) designs in a variety of interface styles with optional shielding. Average price is .30¢ - .40¢ per port.
High Speed serial I/O interfaces include A an dB type USB sockets and plugs (USB Series), mini USB (MUSB Series), six and nine-pin IEEE 1394 Firewire (FSB series), and DVI Interfaces (DVI Series). Average price is .40¢ - .50¢.
Mini DIN (MDN Series) are available in 3-9 positions, single and dual port designs and with optional shielding. Average price is .40¢ - .50¢.
