Embedded DT7000 (TM) I/O Gateway Reduces Costs and Space Requirements for Machine
Hudson, MA, USA - To assist Machine builders, Industrial equipment vendors, kiosk manufacturers, and automation suppliers reduce costs and reduce space requirements Diamond Technologies has released their new DT7000 family of I/O Gateways. The new DT7000 combines Serial Communications Gateways, Digital and Analog I/O and a Fieldbus network interface in one small low cost embedded printed circuit board package. Measuring just 3.2" x 4.2" the DT7000 I/O Gateways have multiple serial channels (RS232 and RS485), 16 DI and 16 DO, 4AI and 2 AO, as well as support for most major Fieldbus networks. The serial channels include support for Modbus RTU Master and Modbus RTU Slave communications and they can be adapted to support virtually all serial communications protocols. The DT7000 will read information over its serial channel and transfer this data to its Fieldbus network. This provides a "gateway" which allows serial devices to operate on the Fieldbus network. The Supported Fieldbus networks include Profibus, DeviceNet, Profinet I/O, CANopen, Ethernet IP, Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP, EtherCAT, CC-Link, and USB Passive. The DT7000 I/O operates under a wide power range of 9-40VDC and the I/O can provide up to 2Amps of power. The DT7000 I/O system can also be expanded. The DT7000 was developed to meet the needs of embedded system developers and the modules have already been utilized in Semiconductor equipment, warehouse systems, Pharmaceutical applications, and high reliability power back up systems.
