VersaLogic Announces Two Additional SPX (TM) I/O Modules
Boston, MA. - Sept. 19, 2007 - Embedded Systems Conference 2007 - VersaLogic Corporation announced today it is shipping two additions to its new line of low-cost I/O expansion boards called SPX(TM) (Serial Peripheral eXpansion(TM)) modules. The SPX-2 and SPX-4 are the latest additions to this low-cost I/O expansion platform.

Up to four SPX modules of identical or different functionality can be used per system. The SPX format operates at high speed on a simple 14-pin interconnect cable. They can be physically bolted to the host single board computer, or attached via cable and located up to two feet away from the host. SPX expansion is supported on VersaLogic's latest EBX product offerings, the Sidewinder and the Python.
All SPX modules are RoHS compliant and are designed for extended temperature operation (-40°C to +85°C). The SPX format can easily accommodate custom I/O requirements. As with other VersaLogic products, SPX modules are designed for long-term reliability and availability.
