Hyundai Selects PortaFab Modular Wall Partitions to Create Innovative Bulletin Board Wall
St. Louis (October 2009) - Hyundai North America was searching for a solution to an interesting dilemma. They needed to create an area in their plant where they could display important information to their workforce and visitors regarding safety, quality, performance, and other key measurable. The area in question was a high traffic location in a manufacturing environment so durability was going to be a key consideration to any potential solution.
After reviewing options that included standard office partitions and rolling bulletin boards from their commercial furniture suppliers, Hyundai selected a customized modular wall partition from PortaFab to satisfy their requirements.
Ultimately, the Hyundai team was not just looking for a bulletin board; they wanted a solution that would effectively separate this area from the rest of the plant and engage workers into the space. Because Hyundai had a previous relationship with PortaFab as their modular office system provider, they requested that PortaFab spec out a solution for the company.
The end product is an innovative bulletin board wall constructed with PortaFab's OmniFlex 300 modular wall system. OmniFlex's 3" thick steel studs had already proven to be a durable solution in other areas of the plant and the use of angled end panels created the space-within-a-space that Hyundai was trying to achieve. The wall was also designed to reflect the company's branding, featuring the signature colors of blue and gray.
