Oilgear's Hydrostatic PVWC Pump Delivers High Efficiency to the Mobile Market

(May 15th, 2006; Milwaukee, Wisconsin) The Oilgear Company's PVWC closed loop, hydrostatic axial piston pump offers low horsepower for high performance applications. Designed around Oilgear's proven rotating group, the PVWC pump combines quiet operation, high efficiency and competitive pricing in a compact design.

A new addition to Oilgear's family of hydraulic equipment for the mobile market, the PVWC pump features a large line of controls with several types of mechanical, hydraulic and electrohydraulic servo valve controls available. This extensive control selection also permits field interchangeability without disconnecting the pump from the main drive or system piping. With three capacities per single frame size, the pump allows for users to select their desired level of capacity and pressure that most closely matches an application's need, while providing maximum control range and sensitivity.

Capable of operating with low viscosity or other special fluids, and with excellent contamination resistance properties, the PVWC pump features a hardened cylinder surface running on a hardened valve plate, along with pistons that run on a hardened swashblock surface. These components also contribute to the pump's longer operational life. Two cross-line check valves with optional high pressure relief valves are available to protect the pump drive and machine from overload damage, and provide extra operational support.

Other main features of the PVWC pump include:
- Multiple displacements with two mountings Rugged cylinder design
- Special polymerous bearing between swashblock and saddle for consistent control reaction
- Sealed front bearings
- Thru-shaft availability
- SAE heavy duty shaft
- Maximum continuous speed of 3600 rpm
- Peak pressure of 5000 rpm (350 bar)
- Theoretical maximum displacements ranging from 0.66 in³/rev (10,8 ml/rev) to 1.35
in³/rev (22,1 ml/rev)
