Hydrocarbon Flow Filter Redesign Boosts Flow Rates
In a continuing effort to provide the best products possible, C.I.Agent Solutions has redesigned its Hydrocarbon Flow Filter (HFF) to dramatically increase flow rates. New models designed for site-specific applications are capable of filtering up to 31.2 gallons/minute.
The HFF uses a non-woven geotextile fabric in conjunction with C.I.Agent, a proprietary blend of USDA food-grade polymers. As water flows through the HFF, hydrocarbons are captured and turned into a rubber-like solid. The filter encapsulates gasoline, diesel, refined oils and sheen. Applications include storm drain inserts, cooling towers, electrical substations, secondary containment vaults and retention pond out-flows.
In the redesigned HFF, more C.I.Agent solidifying polymers are used for better oil stoppage, allowing for increased protection. In independent testing against a 5.5" x 16" competitor's filter, a comparable C.I.Agent HFF flowed 494% faster.
Multiple HFF sizes are available up to 24" long with 2" through 8" National Pipe Thread diameters. C.I.Agent also manufactures custom sizes for specific applications.
C.I.Agent's HFFs are backed by a $2 million pollution insurance policy. Product testing is performed in its in-house lab at the corporate headquarters located in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as by independent third-party laboratories.
