Hydro Dam Reservoir Level Datalogging

A Paper Mill wanted to monitor water levels behind the dam in order to maintain a certain level in response to regulatory requirements.
In response to this request Martech Controls Inc. was requested to provide a system to monitor, measure and record these levels. Secure data archiving was required to meet this requirement as well as an accurate and dependable measurement system.
Since the cost of installing and maintaining power and signal wiring from point of measurement to data acquisition Martech Controls recommended a wireless system. The system was approved and consists of a Submersible Level Transmitter, Action Instruments Wireless WiModPak peer to serial gateway ( as more points are to be added ) and Eurotherm Chessell Model 6180 for secure archiving. The 6180 is also on the plant level LAN via Ethernet to communicate digitally to authorized personnel in and outside of the facility.
Start up assistance, training and configuration by a Martech Representative was provided.
