Lower Priced Power Unit Vale Industries, Inc. of DeKalb, Illinois, USA has introduced a new Hydraulic Power Unit for use with their line of lightweight Bar Shears. The New Industrial Power Unit - the VHPI-3 - is 1/3rd less expensive than the previously lowest priced unit. This reduces the cost of a Shear and Power Unit Package by as much as 25%! The new VHPI-3 is lightweight-only 30 pounds-and can be easily carried from one location to another. Fluid flow ranges from 1 GPM at low pressure and a reduced flow at higher pressure.
The 1/2 HP motor draws only 10 amps at 110 Volts. The hydraulic unit is designed for use with Vale's Light Weight Shears and Straighteners which can cut up to 3/4" steel bar, straighten up to 1" steel bar, and weigh as little as 5 pounds.
