Improving And Expanding Clamping Options For Hydraulic Workholding


Enerpac has announced the introduction of a new line of threaded body hydraulic cylinders for use in workholding applications. These specialty hydraulic cylinders can be used in a wide variety of manufacturing applications including clamping, positioning, punching and pressing.

The cylinders are available in capacities ranging from 380 to 8800 lbs. of clamping force with stroke lengths from 1/4 to 2 inches. The cylinder bodies are fully threaded allowing for fine positioning on the fixture. They cylinders also have standard rod end threads that enable the use of standard contact bolts and accessories. Enerpac also offers manifold mount cylinders that mount directly into a standard SAE port, making installation extremely simple. Both single acting and double acting versions are available; all single acting models have strong and durable return springs, and double acting versions are designed for more demanding applications where additional speed is required. All cylinders are specially treated to prevent corrosion, increase durability and performance and extend the product life.
