Press Release Summary:
Model h3 Stepper Motors feature aluminum housing that provides heat dissipation and neodymium iron boron magnets that help optimize torque density, while bearing retainer and o-ring help reduce motor noise. Bearings enable 1.8-degree step motors to handle high side and radial loads. Motors come in NEMA 17, 23, and 34 frame sizes with various stack lengths, and windings can be customized to suit individual application needs.
Original Press Release:
Portescap's New h3 Stepper Motor Provides up to 40% More Torque than Similarly Sized Steppers
WEST CHESTER, PA - Portescap, a Danaher Motion company, introduces the Portescap h3 Stepper Motor. When compared with similar step motors, these housed hybrid motors provide industry-leading torque output with increased performance, improved heat dissipation and higher side and radial load capability. These 1.8-degree step motors are available in NEMA 17, 23 and 34 frame sizes. Various stack lengths are available in each frame size, and windings can be customized to suit individual application needs.
The h3 series offers several upgrades when compared with standard hybrid step motors. The aluminum housing provides superior heat dissipation to create higher output torque during operation, and stator-enhanced magnets deliver up to 40% more torque in the same footprint. Neodymium iron boron magnets offer optimized torque density, while the bearing retainer and o-ring help reduce motor noise. Larger bearings enable the motor to effectively handle higher side and radial loads.
"The Portescap h3 complements and completes our existing step motor offering, and allows us to help our customers make a better machine even faster with unparalleled depth and breadth of product solutions. "The h3 is an ideal step motor solution in any number of medical equipment applications, and is also an idea solution in textile, semiconductor and electronic assembly applications," says Dave Beckstoffer, Portescap Product Manager.
Portescap offers the broadest miniature motor product line in the industry, encompassing brush DC, brushless DC, stepper can stack, geared, digital linear actuators, disc magnet and hybrid technology. Whether it is the simplicity of the can stack, the direct linear motion of the DLA, the high acceleration of the disc magnet, or the power of the hybrid, Portescap products have been solving diverse motion control needs for more than 70 years. Portescap is a Danaher Motion company, a strategic platform of the Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR).
