Husky Highlights Reliability and Safety for the Medical and Specialty Closure Industries at NPE 2015

BOLTON, Ontario – Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced that at NPE 2015 (March 23 – 27, Orlando, Florida) it will be showcasing its latest technologies for the medical and specialty closure markets, demonstrating that it provides customers with the highest levels of safety and reliability. At NPE, Husky will highlight how its medical and specialty closures customers are forward-thinking leaders in the industry, leveraging Husky's innovative technology, global capabilities, and expertise to achieve better business performance with significantly less risk.

Located at Booth #2117 in the West Hall, Husky will be displaying two Schöttli medical molds; a 64-cavity syringe barrel mold and a 192-cavity medical hub mold. In addition to the medical molds displayed, Husky will be emphasizing its latest innovations and technology for the specialty closures market, focused on the systematic elimination of variability and waste. Highlighted will be Husky's in-mold closing feature, enabling accurate closure function and minimizing the impact on cycle time.

Husky is continuing to invest in the Medical and Specialty Packaging business unit formed last year, which was founded on the acquisition of KTW in 2011 and Schöttli in 2013.  The integration of KTW and Schöttli brings industry-leading technology and a world-wide support network to these markets. Husky remains the industry's only provider of complete medical and specialty closures systems including molds, machines, and hot runners, with systems and tooling that offer risk-free reliability and safety.

"We are thrilled with the level of expertise we have been able to leverage for our customers in the medical industry, thanks to the acquisition and integration of Schöttli," said Steve Lawrynuik, Husky's Vice President of Medical and Specialty Packaging. "We are gaining a much deeper knowledge of mold making in focused medical applications, and are able to confidently say we have the most reliable, risk-free technology in the industry. Being here at NPE allows us to showcase that technology and highlight our reputation for precision and high-quality."

Offering a whole new experience for Husky customers, the display at NPE will focus on providing visitors a more intimate opportunity to engage with Husky solutions and representatives. Husky offers a full suite of equipment and services for the plastics industry, and an unmatched level of global support in over 40 counties. Its injection molding workcells deliver the industry's most reliable technology, with the lowest total production costs for the widest range of applications and capacity needs. Value-added services include factory planning, customer training, systems integration and complete asset management.
