Middlefield, CT. - June 23, 2003 - Cooper-Atkins Corporation, a manufacturer of temperature, time, and humidity instruments, now offers a probe to the Industrial and HVAC markets that is easier to measure humidity in ductwork and other heating/cooling equipment.
This new Slim Humidity Probe, Model 5028, has a shaft diameter of only .250" and is 5" in length. In addition to humidity readings, this probe takes air temperature readings. It features a temperature range of 0° to 150°F (418° to 66°C), humidity range of 10 to 95% RH, and comes standard with a 6' polyurethane coil cord.
Many existing humidity probes have a shaft diameter of 3/4" or greater, requiring a large opening be made which is difficult to close-up once the job is completed. This new humidity probe is the perfect solution for air measurement in ducts and other small spaces.
