PerkinElmer Expands Liquid Chromatography Product Line
New Peltier Column Oven and Networked Diode Array Detector Released
NEW ORLEANS - PerkinElmer Instruments announces the extension of its Series 200 Liquid Chromatography (LC) product line. New system components include a fully network-ready Diode Array-based high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) Detector and a Peltier Column Oven with an integrated column selection valve.
"PerkinElmer has redoubled its efforts to provide HPLC solutions. These new components, coupled with our Turbo Method Development software, make the Series 200 LC a more attractive product than ever," said Kenneth King, chromatography business unit manager at PerkinElmer Instruments.
The Diode Array Detector allows fast, reliable, and secure transmission of chromatographic and spectral information over standard networking systems by employing industry standard Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). The protocol's built-in error correction enhances system security and data integrity, which is of critical importance to regulated laboratories.
Using PerkinElmer TotalChrom(TM) software, the system can be controlled from a local PC or remotely through the network infrastructure, without the need for intermediary interface boxes or computers. This reduces implementation costs and eliminates security and validation concerns.
The new HPLC Column Oven provides precise temperature control over a wide temperature range, as well as an internal column selection valve for automated switching of up to five columns plus a by-pass mode. The oven features a large, easily accessible compartment. Both the HPLC system and the new Series 200 Peltier Oven/Selector can be controlled from a local PC or remotely through the network infrastructure by the TotalChrom software.
