Supelco Introduces the New Ascentis(TM) Family of HPLC Columns Using Surface-Optimized Technology
ST. LOUIS, Nov. 9 - Supelco, a division of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (NASDAQ:SIAL) , has introduced a new family of HPLC columns designed to help researchers achieve high-quality chromatography separations in the life sciences and other analytical sciences.
The Ascentis family of HPLC columns is the fourth and newest generation of HPLC columns from Supelco. Our scientists have combined proprietary advances in bonding chemistry, a unique revolutionary approach to endcapping, and ultra high purity silica to create Surface-Optimized Technology.
Featuring C18 and RP-Amide phases, the Ascentis column family is engineered with high surface coverage to provide maximum HPLC performance. Ascentis HPLC columns offer near-perfect peak symmetry; excellent retention, even for many difficult to retain compounds; orthogonal selectivity between C18 and RP-Amide; ultra low MS detectable bleed; and the new RP-Amide is compatible with 100% aqueous mobile phases.
