Robust Boiler Temperature Probe with Integral Connector

Measurement Specialties, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEAS) has now released its OEM temperature probe for hot water boiler applications, the Boiler Probe with Integrated Connector. This probe contains a NTC thermistor soldered to an industry standard 2.5mm connector. It features a fast time response and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The durable brass housing provides the popular British Standard Pipe Fitting - (1/8 BSPF) for ease of installation and replacement. Optional threads are available for custom designs.

Typical performance for these probes is 10,000 Ohms resistance at 25°C. A reliable ±1°C tolerance is held over the 25°C to 85°C temperature range. One should expect a Beta value of 3976K (25/85) with a variance of ±1%. Custom tolerances are available upon request as are ranges of R/T curves.

Well-suited for temperature measurements in industrial environments, this boiler temperature probe is RoHS compliant, withstands harsh environments and has been tested to withstand rapid temperature cycling. Should special applications require RTD elements, both Nickel and Platinum can be accommodated. Samples are available upon request for qualified OEM opportunities.

Measurement Specialties, Inc. designs and manufactures sensors and sensor-based systems. The company produces a wide variety of sensors and transducers to measure precise ranges of physical characteristics such as pressure, force, vibration, torque, position, temperature, humidity, fluid properties, mass air flow and photo optics. Measurement Specialties uses multiple advanced technologies - including piezo-resistive, electro-optic, electro-magnetic, variable reluctance, magneto resistive, digital encoders, thermistors, thermocouples, RTDs, capacitive, resonant beam, application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), piezoelectric polymers and strain gauges to engineer sensors that operate accurately and cost-effectively in customers' applications.
