Daewoo DHP-4000 Horizontal Machining Center - Greater Speed...Greater Economy
West Caldwell, NJ -- DHP-4000 joins the Doosan Infracore family of Daewoo high speed, high power horizontal machining centers. For speed, the DHP-4000 combines 14,000 rpm spindle speed, 1.5 second tool-to-tool changes, 2,362 ipm rapid traverses, and a 2-pallet, rotary shuttle system with a quick 5.9 second pallet change time. For power, the DHP-4000's 30 Hp motor generates 161ft. lbs of low-end torque to take deep cuts in tough metals.
The DHP-4000's 40 taper spindle is a true cartridge type unit that's supported by four precision class, permanently lubricated bearings. A refrigerated spindle cooling system circulates oil around the spindle, drive shaft bearings, gears, and motor flanges. This maintains cool and constant temperatures across a broad range of ambient and operating conditions.
A 60 station ATC uses a fixed address, shortest path tool-change method. The CAT40 tools are automatically returned to their original pots. Possible tool collisions need to be considered only when the tools are first mounted.
A rotary shuttle APC provides a wide working area for easy setup. The 15.7" x 15.7" pallets support work pieces up to 23.6" diam x 31.5", weighing a maximum of 880 lbs. The table can be indexed in 1deg. increments. Strong air jets discharged from the tapered cones during pallet changes remove chips from the cones to assure accurate pallet positioning. The pallet system can be easily modified to meet a variety of operating needs and conditions.
Heavy duty linear motion roller guideways provide superior acceleration/deceleration performance. High torque servos couple directly to the ball screws, eliminating gears and preventing backlash and servo drag.
Standard features include a side mounted chip conveyor and coolant tank, oil cooler, flood coolant system, through the spindle coolant, coolant gun, T-slot pallets, rigid tapping and a portable MPG. The controller is a Fanuc 18i-M.
